Sliding…down a glass slide precariously perched on the outside of LA’s tallest skyscraper 1,000 feet above downtown. Peed. My. Pants.
Planning…a magical family vacay to ye olde O’Brien homeland this summer. Ireland, here we come!
Searching…for a really great travel agent. Know of one?
Watching…the riveting seven-hour OJ: Made in America docu-series about OJ Simpson on ESPN. The amount of research and footage they compiled is beyond comprehension. ESPN Films even screened the doc at Sundance and select theaters to gain eligibility for Oscar season. I’ll be shocked if they don’t get a nomination and win.
Waiting…for my pretty new red Ulla Johnson top to arrive from Barneys. I’ve been eyeing it for a couple months now and finally bit the fashion bullet.
Restarting…The Whole 30 next week. Ugh. I mean, yay! This time, Casey and I are tackling it together which will make meal planning much easier and less lonely. (We may enjoy an occasional glass of vino though – shhhh! Tell no one!)
Noshing…on the mouthwatering avocado toast I whipped up for the Sense & Serendipity crew at our last meeting. I’ll be sharing the yumtastic recipe soon!
Looking…forward to riding the new Expo Line to the beach in Santa Monica for 4th of July weekend. No traffic and parking hell anymore! Hooray!
Cheering…for Marcus Willis at Wimbledon. Willis’s story is the stuff movies are made of. Ranked 772nd in the world just months ago and seriously considering retirement, Willis’s girlfriend talked him into giving tennis one last shot. Surprising everyone, he went on to win enough tournaments to make it to Wimbledon! Not only that, he made it to the second round where he sadly lost to Roger Federer this morning. (But, Federer!) It was so freakin’ exciting! See what happens when you don’t give up?
Remembering…Our wedding anniversary trip to Wimbledon in July 2008. We were unbelievably lucky to be in the crowd for what many deem the most famous match in tennis history – Federer vs. Nadal in the Men’s Finals with multiple rain delays and a final round that went 16 games straight. It was one of the most electrifying things I’ve ever watched and I’ll never ever forget it.
Attempting…to look like a bronze goddess. Or at least not quite so Casper-the- Ghost-like. I’ve started using NARS Laguna Liquid Bronzer on my face where the sun would normally hit, as well as my neck.
Taking…a screenwriting course from Aaron Sorkin this summer! He’s one of my favorite writers and I couldn’t be more psyched!
