It’s been a blissful week here on the blog. We’ve loved sharing tips on how to reconnect with your inner child, talking about the importance of treating oneself to much-needed spa indulgences and trying to incorporate moments of bliss into your every day.
To cap off the week, today we’re sharing our individual moments of bliss we’ve had this week.
My family and I took a dream vacation to Dublin and Paris. My husband is there on business and we got to tag along and play. It was an amazing vacation. Dublin was green and lush. The people were friendly, the food was ok, and the weather was cool. Paris was busy and beautiful. The people were French, the food was delicious and the weather was hot and sticky. We made the best memories going to museums, riding amphibious vehicles, drinking pints (just the adults of course), seeing the Eiffel Tower twinkling in the night, walking and talking and walking. We brought home pictures and memories that we will never forget.
My husband and I did a belated anniversary trip to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa last weekend – adults only! Wahoo! It’s such a stunning and peaceful place. From the moment we arrived, the stress melted away. The wine tasting helped too. And the cocktails by the pool. And at dinner. We ate amazing meals, explored downtown Ojai, went to the hotel spa, lounged poolside, and went for a 104 degree bike ride where Uber had to rescue us. Needless to say, it was filled with tons of adventure, laughter and reconnecting, and I can’t wait to plan our next romantic getaway!
Jessie and I spent the weekend with this little bundle of love. Jack is the son of one of my closest and dearest friends. He’s my godson. My honorary nephew. And we were so happy to spend time with him. We went swimming, made meals together, watched movies and just had a great time. We felt so honored to be entrusted with this precious little boy and we just had so much fun together. It was so special to be reminded how much it means to us to be this little guy’s “Uncle Jessie” and “Aunt Gaby.”
