When I think of summer, I immediately picture myself lounging on the beach, by the pool or chilling in my very own backyard with a delish and refreshing cocktail in hand. So whether you prefer something light or with a spicy kick, a festive party drink for that summer cookout or a totally kid-friendly option so little ones can share in the fun, I’ve rounded up some of my all-time fave summer cocktail recipes. Cheers!

LIGHT & REFRESHING – PEACH SANGRIA
This is one of the cocktail recipes I’m most excited to whip up for a summer dinner party in our brand new backyard – peach sangria from Pretty Plain Janes. It would be delish served with some juicy grilled chicken and strawberry salad!

SPICY & NICY – JALAPENO MARGARITA
Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE Mexican food. Maybe it’s my Texas roots, but I could literally eat Mexican food every single day for the rest of my life – for reals, yo. And the only thing better than Mexican food is washing it down with a spicy margarita like this jalapeno margarita recipe from Love & Lemons. Just imagine pouring a pitcher for guests alongside a sizzling make-you-own taco bar and some chips and guacamole. Ole!

BOOZY OLD SCHOOL – THE BELLEVUE
The minute I found the recipe for the Bellevue on Town & Country, I knew it would be quickly become a must-sip on my summer cocktail list. The flavors of bourbon, peach and mint make up the perfect drink for a little Wimbeldon watching in July.

PARTY WITH PUNCH – RUM PUNCH
If you can’t be lounging on a tropical beach with a rum drink in hand this summer, you certainly can improvise by making a bowl of rum punch at home – and that’s the next best thing, right? Right?! A bowl of spiked punch is always a party pleaser and nothing’s more summery than this easy peasy rum punch recipe from Food and Wine.

KID-FRIENDLY COOLER – PINEAPPLE PEACH AGUA FRESCA
With a vibrant color and unbelievably refreshing flavor any kiddo would love, this recipe for pineapple peach agua fresca from How Sweet It Is is a fantastic mocktail to serve little ones (or big ones who don’t feel like imbibing) at your next summer get together. All it needs now is a fun straw and fruit garnish on the side of the glass!
